Guidelines for preparation of abstracts

Deadline for submission is April 15th 2019

Abstracts should be written in English. Please follow the seven guidelines detailed below and send your work in the file Template_Abstract_IAC2019.docx provided below (see bottom of page) to iac2019vietnam@gmail.com

Students: Please make sure to mark in the Word Template file if the paper presenter will be a student (undergraduate or graduate level) so that paper is eligible for enrollment in the student competition.

1. Page layout: Submit the abstract as in the example file Template_Abstract_IAC2019.docx provided below. The abstract text can occupy up to two A4 pages with 3 cm margins at left, right, top, and bottom. Use single-spaced text.

2. Font: Use Times New Roman size 12 throughout the abstract text except for the authors and addresses, which should Times New Roman size 10. Names of genera and species should be in italics.

3. Title: centered and in bold.

4. Authors, affiliations, addresses, and emails: Justify text. Please bold all authors’ names and underline the presenting author.

For titles and authorship, please follow the examples in the Word file provided exactly, including spaces between lines, use of upper-case letters, and position of authors’ initials (i.e. R. A. Rakitov).

5. Main text: Justify paragraphs. Subtitles (in bold) are acceptable: e.g., Materials and methods, Results, Discussion, References. In-text citations are acceptable in the following formats: Evans (1947), Takiya & Mejdalani (2004), Oman et al. (1990), (Felix & Mejdalani 2003), (Wagner 1951, Ross 1957, Davis 1975).

6. Illustrations: Please keep illustrations to a minimum. Abbreviate in the main text as: (Fig. 1), (Figs 1, 2), (Figs 1, 4), (Figs 1-3).

7. References: Justify text. Please exactly follow the format of Zootaxa for articles, books, internet sites, etc. See format HERE.
